FENNELLS FARM
LYPIATT
STROUD
GL6 7NE
Since 2014 Fennells Farm has been home to Giffords Circus. Sat on a ridge overlooking the Slad Valley and Stroud down in the valley below. This is where the magic happens, the circus shows are created, the horses are trained and rehearsals take place every spring before the show open. Fennells Farm is a magical place, it looks like a farm at a first glance, but in the barns there are props, costumes, a team of dedicated employees all burning the midnight oil to get the show on the road.

“On the most beautiful imaginable midsummer evening where better to celebrate than the magical, glorious, entirely homemade spectacle that is Giffords Circus …Truly, there is nothing like it in the world.”
Elizabeth Gilbert

Directions
From Stroud train station, turn left out of the station car park and then right onto Rowcroft, follow the one way system onto the London Road and then take the first exit at the roundabout onto Cornhill and then take the first exit onto Parliment Street. Make a day of it in Stroud

ENJOY A CIDER WITH ROSIE
The Woolpack Slad is without a doubt our favourite pub and within walking distance of our HQ at Fennells Farm. Immortalised in Laurie Lee’s novel Cider with Rosie, we recommend The Woolpack for a wide selection of real ale, including Pig’s Ear by Uley Brewery and great dishes, perfect for fueling you for a walk around the Slad Valley.

PLACES TO STAY
Within walking distance of Fennells Farm is this rather fabulous safari tent at Middle Lypiatt Glamping. It sleeps six in a double room, a twin room and a double cabin bed and even has a bathroom too.

JOLLY NICE FARMSHOP
Jolly Nice Farmshop & Kitchen is a must for great coffee, a sausage roll or maybe even one of their amazing chocolate brownies! Enjoy one of their Jolly Nice burgers by a wood burner in one of the yurts, a perfect meeting place for a jolly good chin wag!
