We are so excited to share that the Giffords Circus Cookbook written by Nell Gifford and Ols Halas and published by Quadrille Publishing has been shortlisted for a prestigious The Guild of Food Writers Award.
Announced yesterday, 17th May 2021, the Giffords Circus Cookbook has been shortlisted in the General Cookbook Award (sponsored by Thermapen).
The Guild of Food Writers Awards celebrate the breadth of knowledge and expertise at work in a thriving creative field.
“I am absolutely stoked to be shortlisted for this prestigious award. Nell would be so proud.” Said Ols Halas, co-author of the Giffords Circus Cookbook.
The cookbook was written in 2019 following the circus’s year and is full of Nell’s circus stories and memories combined with Ols beautiful circus recipes. Ols has tried and tested his recipes over the past 12 years in the Circus Sauce, the acclaimed restaurant that travels with Giffords Circus each year. Rock star photographer David Loftus shot the photographs for the cookbook and captured the very essence of Giffords Circus.
The winners will be announced on Wednesday 23 June at 6pm on Instagram at @thegfw.
