I have been overwhelmed by all the incredibly kind people who have written since the last newsletter. There are too many emails, cards and letters to reply individually but thank you so much for each and every message.
Toti built an amazing vegetable garden here at Fennells Farm and I am feeling proud of this crop of sage and marrows that is going off to the circus to be served up at Circus Sauce. Ollie and his maverick team of kitchen helpers live life to the full – cooking, travelling, devising puppet shows. Follow them on social media but more to the point, catch them live at Giffords Circus! Rumour has it that they are planning to go en masse to South America on a gastronomic adventure at the end of the season. The Circus Sauce crew is ready for South America...but is South America ready for them?! I look forward to following their adventures.
I can't help loving the feeling that autumn is on the way, in the distance – apples galore, bright days, cosy evening, All Hallows. Magic in the air.
