If anyone has driven past Fennells Farm recently, they will have noticed the Giffords Circus horses having a well-earned break. These lovely geldings and stallions have been out since the 28th September and will be on holiday until the end of the Christmas break when they will start on the preparations for next seasons tour “The Painted Wagon”. We are very excited about this production and looking forward to welcoming some new artists into the family, one of whom is the incredibly talented Lillian Konyot who at 17 has taught herself rope spinning, gun whirling and whip skills. Lillian is a saxophone player, a nationally acclaimed Hungarian folk singer and has been on tour with her family her whole life.

I have had some bad news. I have been diagnosed with breast cancer. I am due to start chemotherapy next week which will continue through the winter. I am being really well looked after by the excellent team in the Oncology Department at Cheltenham General. At home I am of course supported by Toti and my friends and I cannot fail to mention Daniella whose never ending love and care that is extended to not only Toti and myself but also to my children . She is the lynch pin of the whole organisation and makes everything possible. I most probably will not appear in next year’s show but it absolutely goes on and I will return fighting fit in 2017.

There are lots of exciting plans for seasons beyond 2016. Toti and his team are always busy landscaping whilst at the same time building the new circus office and art department at our wonderful new HQ, Fennells Farm. We will be moving in here before Christmas and will be posting photos of our new space once we are in. Everyone is very excited about being all together again.

We are extremely proud to be supporting the Sugarplum charity dinner at One Marylebone in London this week. This is the brain child of Lady Jubie Wigan, the Fairy Godmother of the Sugarplum Children whose beautiful daughter, Aliena was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in July 2012 at the age of just two and a half. Wishing to raise money for the Junior Diabetes Research Foundation, Jubie started the Sugarplum Dinner, this raised £280,000 for the charity in 2013 and this year, they hope to raise even more. This is one of the most glamourous and high profile charity events of the year and Giffords Circus will be providing entertainment for the guests. We are delighted and very proud to be part of this. You can also be part of the silent or live auctions. Have a look at the website there are some incredible prizes to bid on.

We will keep you posted about all things new and exciting – remember to look out for the pics of the new office!

Lots of love and hugs
