I have mentioned previously that this year's company has been a complete delight to work with, be around, travel with. It has felt like a proper family. And so when one of your own dear friends is hurt, you rally. That's just what happened on August Bank Holiday Monday when Kata Kiss damaged her leg at the end of her act when exiting the ring.
Within 24 hours she was in plaster but still needs a further ultrasound to decide if she needs an operation on her Achilles or not. Undeterred, mortified at letting the team down (!), and quite frankly rather bored, Kata was determined the show must go on.
She worked with Dany and Maxi to adapt her routine and a week later was back in Moon Songs. Watching her sheer grit and determination has made me so incredibly proud to have her within our company this year. She is a true performer. Elegance in plaster!
